Catya Maré is a multiple award winning songwriter, violinist and music producer (world / orchestral / Celtic new age / electronica / pop) from Denmark who is now living in Los Angeles, California.


She has performed as a classical violinist since her early childhood (first concert as a soloist with a large symphony orchestra at age 10), held the position of an alternating concertmaster with one of Europe´s finest symphony orchestras, Aarhus Symfoni Orkester (DK) and has done numerous performances at international concert halls and major museums of art, such as National Galerie Berlin, Musikhalle Hamburg (Germany)  and Kunsthaus Zürich (Switzerland).

Catya Maré started composing / producing her own music in 2005.


She was nominated for the Hollywood Music Award in November 2008 and won the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in February 2009. In November 2009 Catya Maré won the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award, and in December 2010 the USA Songwriting Competition.


Catya Maré´s music is included in Hollywood movies, such as "Butterflies in the wind" and "Homecoming", TV shows (e.g. "Cruisin´with E-Rider") and receives worldwide air play (e.g. on 88.7FM Wobo, reaching 1.5 million listeners).

Her popular and critically acclaimed albums "LIGHT LONGING", "Remembering The Day", "Destination Love" and "Tell Me Why..."are for sale from all major music outlets, such as iTunes, Amazon, CD Connection, CD Universe, CD Baby etc..


In July 2010 Catya started to include her voice into her musical work, what resulted in a flirtingly humorous, sexy & slightly wacky new style (electronica / pop / world).

Now she does both, the Celtic violin based new age / classical crossover and the nutty electronica....her new EP , titled "Talk Talk Talk" was released worldwide on November 15th.

In October, 2010, she received her Green Card, based on her achievements.

In December 2010, she won the USA Songwriting Competition (category: instrumental).

At this time Catya Maré works on musical productions, which feature both her violin and vocals…

July 2011, Catya Maré´s flirtingly humorous and slightly wacky music video "Tell Me Why" was nominated for the   Stay Tuned TV Award / International Television Festival 2011.
