Saxophonist Lee Konitz is featured in the August 2012 issue of Jazz Inside Magazine. Konitz emerged onto the jazz scene as a distinct voice during the bebop era dominated by Charlie Parker and his disciples. Konitz appeared on Miles Davis Birth of The Cool, and became an influential figure in Cool Jazz. He has since evolved, and is a noteworthy improviser in genres ranging from bebop to the avant-garde.
