Jon Faddis, trumpeter, bandleader, educator, is featured in the March 2013 edition of Jazz Inside Magazine (print and digital) in concert with his performance at the Dizzy & Bird Festival at Jazz At Lincoln Center, March 8-9, 2013. He discusses his association with his mentor and friend Dizzy Gillespie, the Jon Faddis Jazz Orhcestra and more. This 48-page edition also features interviews with Hankus Netsky, accomplished saxophonist, woodwind player, pianist, composer, educator, who Chairs the New England Conservatory Contemporary Improvisation department, founded by Gunther Schuller - and now celebrating its 40th Anniversary. The celebration features New England Conservatory faculty and students in performances at leading venues in New York City in March. This issue of Jazz Inside also features saxophonist, composer, conductor and Five Towns College educator, Demetrius Spaneas; as well as part two of the interview with pianist, educator Lewis Porter. Nora McCarthy contributes an editorial entitled, Remembering Butch Morris, who was noted for among other things his "conduction."
